      International author to speak here on roots of religion

      Dr. Albert Amao, author and national speaker from New Jersey, will speak at the Theosophical Society on “Building the Inner Temple” 7 pm Monday, Sept. 23, in Conf. Rm. S330 of the Griggs-Midway Bldg., 1821 University Ave.. W, St. Paul.
      He will examine the origins of occidental religions and who brought them to humanity He will consider religion as a natural awe over wonders of the world, what causes religion to emerge and whether it represents a natural tendency in humanity.
      Amao will reference his newest book, “Awaken the Power Within,” as well as theosophical literature, archaeology, scientific and discoveries. Deciphering of ancient languages during the past 100 years, he said, provide a different perspective about the nature and the origin of religion. His talk will be based on anthropological discoveries as well as ancient sacred scriptures.
      Dr. Amao suggests that all visitors bring a Bible to the discussion. Albert Amao Soria is a graduate of San Marcos University in Lima, Peru. He holds a Ph. D. in Sociology and is a writer, public speaker, and student of the ageless wisdom tradition..
      He has written extensively on metaphysics, New Thought philosophy and Hermetic Qabalah. Amao is a national speaker of the Theosophical Society. He will be available to sign copies of his books on sale. Refreshments. $10. (651) 235-6645.
